Eastwind Networks has hired new chief security and strategy officer — Robert Huber.
“We are thrilled that Robert has joined the Eastwind team and that he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the security industry to the table,” said Paul Kraus, CEO of Eastwind Networks. “With significant experience in security operations at Fortune 100 companies and the Department of Defense, Robert will power Eastwind Networks’ strategy and drive our product roadmap to further success.”
Huber has more than 20 years of experience in critical infrastructure security, the financial industry and defense. His previous positions include vice president at iSIGHT Partners, co-founder and president of Critical Intelligence, senior cyber intelligence analyst at Lockheed Martin and vice president and chief security architect manager at JPMorgan Chase. He is also in the Air National Guard, where he serves in a network warfare squadron.
With a solid understanding of what it takes to establish leadership and gain market share in the cybersecurity sector, Robert’s hire is a strategic move on Eastwind’s behalf to forge industry alliances, partner with leading cybersecurity solution providers to create a complete network-security platform and capitalize on Robert’s years of experience running security operations for the financial, critical infrastructure and government sectors.
“After speaking with numerous cybersecurity practitioners, I heard loud and clear that organizations lack necessary resources and situational awareness of their cyber terrain and suffer from solution fatigue,” said Robert Huber, CSO of Eastwind Networks. “Eastwind offers something more — unparalleled visibility coupled with automated data enrichment and breach detection in a single platform. Eastwind increases security operations ROI by quickly identifying attacks, adding deep context and reducing adversary dwell time. I greatly look forward to joining and working with this talented team dedicated to providing the advantage to the defenders.”
